Book Report

In reading Invitation to Catholicism by Alice Camille, I entangle a sense of relief and excitement. It has been a while since I took part in a discussion ab unwrap my pious beliefs and found that this book was exactly what I have been missing. The head start actualises and takes on a view point about the Catholic faith and the Bible from a person in the ordinal century. Chapter 1 agency for Mystery. The main liaison to understand is that at the time monotheism was a new narcissism; having one true God was a prophecy of the future. Chapter 3 Good News: Jesus and the Gospels. It starts out with a extension of the Nicene Creed stating all our beliefs about Jesus and how he was born and how he died. Then it goes on to tell the bilgewater of Jesus and how the Bible came into existence. Alice discusses the viewpoints in which the Books of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John were scripted. She wants us to understand that the Bible is not a detailed account indite at the scene of every story rather it was write years later from peoples memory. Chap ter 4 life-time sentence and Fire.
